Writing the Impossible Programs

Many applications contain one or two programs which appear to be impossible to write without bypassing Telon features for extensive, intricate, unmaintainable custom code.  Usually, one of our consultants can use Telon features to write the program in a clear and maintainable form.  In one case, we were called because a program was regularly causing the TDF to crash.  Our consultant found 28,146 lines of custom code, not counting comments and blank lines.  He insisted on rewriting the program from scratch, and quickly produced a functionally identical program with 97 lines of custom code. This program did not cause the TDF to crash.
