FOR: System designers and programmer analysts.
DESCRIPTION: A two-day workshop to take an actual project in development and prototype it. This course will answer questions such as, when to use prototyping, how prototyping can show the user what to expect when the project is complete, how the user can use the product to test the system before costly programming effort is expended, and how the output from prototyping the system can provide a working document and specifications for the programmer to complete project.
OBJECTIVES: At the end of this course, students will be able to develop first and second level prototypes of an application, and will be able to use chained presentation stores to give formal and informal demonstrations to users. They will have sufficient confidence in their ability to make requested modifications to an application in the users presence.
PREREQUISITES: Knowledge of system design.
